Established in 2015, the Cellular Pathology Laboratory is staffed by experienced biomedical scientists and offers a full range of leading–edge diagnostic histopathological and cytopathological services. Tissue samples are processed and reported in-house.
A team of Consultant Histo- and Cytopathologists provide expert advice on specialties including breast, gastrointestinal, gynaecological, male, renal and urological, dermatological, endocrine, lymphoreticular, soft tissue, bone and head & neck pathology.
Reporting turnaround times are timely, meeting the Royal College Of Pathologists standards and results are available to referring clinicians via the laboratory information system.
An on-site immediate assessment service for fine-needle aspiration cytological samples is also provided in the Breast and Head and Neck out-patient clinics.
