Cardiac & Respiratory

Working in partnership with PEI Surgical Ltd, our very dedicated and energetic cardiac investigations team provides a personal and caring service to patients of all ages, from newborn to the elderly.

We ensure that all tests are carried out to the highest standards and with maximum patient satisfaction. Tests include electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram (Echo), Exercise Stress Testing (EST), Ambulatory Heart Rate Monitoring (AHRM), Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), Stress Echocardiograms and bubble studies for adults and paediatric patients, where applicable.

The primary objectives of these tests are to:

• identify potential cardiac causes of patient symptoms, eg, chest pain, palpitation, dizziness or fainting, breathlessness, etc.
• assess the outcome of interventional therapy such as an ablation (removal of tissue) or insertion of stents etc.
• monitor the impact of drug therapy on symptoms or arrhythmia
• assess for ischaemia (inadequate or constricted blood supply)
• perform a cardiac screening service to patients
• comply with Occupational Health requirements.

Referrals are required by a consultant, GP or via occupational health. All results are returned to the referring source.

Helping meet demand for respiratory services across Northern Ireland.

Delivered in partnership with PEI Surgical Ltd, the Clinic’s comprehensive respiratory service is helping to meet the serious levels of demand throughout Northern Ireland.

The tests we provide – including spirometry, transfer factor, lung volumes, reversibility testing, exhaled nitric oxide testing, mannitol challenge, sleep studies and CPAP – are carried out by a team of experienced respiratory physiologists.

Referrals are required by a consultant, GP or via occupational health. All results are returned to the referring source.
