Dr Bothwell is a neurodevelopmental paediatrician who specializes in the assessment and management of children presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder and delay/disordered Child Development. Dr Bothwell has worked as a Consultant Community Paediatrician in Belfast HSCT from 2003 and has over 20 yrs experience in neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr Bothwell works in the ADHD/ASD/CDC service in Belfast HSCT Community Paediatrics. Within her NHS work she completes new patient assessments for ADHD and ASD. She manages a caseload of ADHD patients aged from 6 yrs to 18 yrs in the NHS and is a contributor to a monthly difficult cases meeting for ADHD within Trust. She is the lead paediatrician for the ASD service in Belfast HSCT. Dr Bothwell is a recognized trainer for Paediatric Community Doctors. Dr Bothwell has presented at local, national and international meetings on many areas within Community Paediatrics and is currently working on quality improvement projects related to ADHD. Dr Bothwell is validated for interpretation of Qb Test and attends yearly Qb revalidation training.
