About

At the Ulster Independent Clinic we have a single aim: to provide exceptional private healthcare in an exceptional environment. That aim is built on three principles: commitment, openness and innovation.

A commitment to excellence

We strive constantly for excellence.
In the environment we provide for you.
In our skills and professional training.
In our facilities and equipment.
And above all, in the quality of care we provide.

Why Choose the Ulster Independent Clinic?

When you choose the Ulster Independent Clinic, you’re choosing the skill and expertise of some of the UK’s leading consultants, excellent facilities plus outstanding nursing care.

Clinical Governance

Clinical governance is the responsibility of the Clinical Governance Committee, which meets monthly. Membership includes the Chair of Medical Advisory Committee and Chief Executive and reports to the Clinic’s Board of Directors.

The Committee assists the Board in its oversight of the integrity of the Clinic’s clinical governance arrangements, including supporting the Board in meeting its responsibilities regarding the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA), the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) and Caspe Healthcare Knowledge Systems (CHKS).

What to expect from
Independent Healthcare

The Ulster Independent Clinic is a member of the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN). IHPN, the UK’s only organisation of its kind, supports independent providers in delivering outstanding care to NHS and private patients. With support from the Patient’s Association, IHPN has developed a range of resources to ensure patients understand their options around paying privately for their care.

Regulation and Quality
Improvement Authority (RQIA)

The Ulster Independent Clinic inspection reports are available to view on the RQIA website: www.rqia.org.uk

CHKS: Setting the standard

The Ulster Independent Clinic is proud to be accredited by the Caspe Healthcare Knowledge System (CHKS). CHKS sets standards for healthcare organisations to improve their management and operational systems and demonstrate their capability of providing quality services.

Accreditation means we fully comply with the full range of CHKS standards and criteria relating to legal and professional requirements, safety of patients, staff and visitors, patients’ rights and organisational practice in healthcare.
